This kitty visits us occasionally and totally freaks out our cat, even though this cat is outside and Ginger is not. Does anyone know what kind of cat this is?
On Saturday we finally had some sunshine and were rewarded on our walk by this view of Seattle. If you look closely, you can even see the Space Needle! Since then it's been raining and raining, and this morning there's even a small "lake" in our driveway.
Look what we found in our nearby neighborhood! It's a monkey pod tree, but I don't know where these trees originate. Do you?
When they bloom the unusual flowers look like this. When they are done blooming, the flowers turn to pods, hence the name. But I don't know where the "monkey" part comes from. We don't have monkeys around here, just cougars, coyotes, and bobcats! 😉
Here's my most recent finish, hat from yarn that was in my stash but has been discontinued. There were only 40 yards in the ball, and it was somewhat like knitting with rope on the size 15 needles. I added some rows to the pattern, but it's still a really snug fit. And if you're wondering about the flowers, they were already part of the yarn and could be placed by sliding them along the yarn. You never know what's still in your stash, do you?

I've never heard of that tree either. Those pods are crazy looking. I'm thinking an alien spaceship left it behind...lol.

Your post is full of surprises - the kitty looks like it knows exactly what its doing and its face reminds me of some of the photos I've seen of bobcats but since we don't have them here in Australia you would know far more than me about that lol! The tree I thought looked like a Norfolk Pine until I saw the close up shots - it sure is different - you may have to ask google that one! And flowers on yarn?? I've not heard of that either but they come up rather pretty and would make a lovely sweater if you had enough yarn and a pattern for the chunky sized yarn!
The fog is thick! The hat turned out well! I like the flowers!

Lots of fun things today. I do like that yarn, although I've never seen anything like it before. I do know all in my stash because I just put in on shelves a few months ago.

I've heard of a Monkey Pod tree but I don't think I've ever seen one before. That is so cool! And yes, I do see the space needle.
We're having gorgeous weather this week but rain is predicted for Saturday. It's supposed to be in the mid 70's the next few days. It was 69 today. Unbelieveable for February in Nebraska.

Probably a LHD: Long Haired Domestic cat, with a tabby coat pattern.
Outside, roaming cats can often 'bother' inside cats, as it's a perceived territorial issue.
Hope this kitty belongs to someone, otherwise it's living rough, and it probably intact.
It's a hard life on the streets, although they can do fairly well in temperate climates.
maine coon cat is what I think that beauty is. Looks like springtime where you are. We have to birds singing away (yay) and daffodils are starting to sprout, double yay!
