I'm homing in on the end of my Pandamonium Hat, hurrah! I am not the best at stranded knitting, but it looks pretty good. Meanwhile since the sun's been out we've been doing some walking and exploring trails in our area. Not too long ago we got to see a male and female wood merganser!
We were also greeted by a Canada Goose and later saw another one sound asleep.
On Friday we explored a new trail that follows the Lewis Creek. It's a beautiful spot with a very hilly trail.
And then we were rewarded by this fellow who was hard at work!
We also saw a very interesting log. I think its covered with turkey tail fungus.
Yesterday the sky was blue without a single cloud so we got to see Mount Baker in all its glory.
Have a fabulous day!

I saw a duck very similar to those the other day down on the bay for the first time and had no idea what it was. I didn't know we had wood ducks around here. They really are pretty. All that scenery is lovely. What a beautiful place to live!
What fun to explore your area through your beautiful photos. I haven’t seen a woodpecker in years.
What gorgeous surroundings!
Love those fantastic ducks! And I have a soft spot for woodpeckers, we have the little ones here - they are so cute, I love watching them hop up the side of the trees.
Catching up on a couple of your posts - great work on getting those hats finished!! Wonderful to see the bird life from your corner of the world and great video!
Beautiful scenery! We have the pileated woodpeckers here in FL, too!
Such a fun walk for you. I miss having so many trailes and waking spots like we had around Spokane. Take care and enjoy.
Blessings and hugs,
Betsy

Those mountains! What a gorgeous site!
We have a terrible problem with Canada Geese here. They get very aggressive on some of the walking paths.
