Another Finish and Sure Signs of Spring, HURRAH!

Yesterday I finished this fun knit, and it's on its way to a friend's granddaughter. The pattern is One Plus on Ravelry.

Two Friday's ago, this is what it looked like near Sequim  on the way home from Port Angeles!
We were very happy to reach the ferry without incident.

And now the spring flowers are blooming in our yard!

What a welcome sight! I love spring!

A Couple of Surprises Plus a Finish!!

If you are ever in the Seattle area, be sure to take a ferry ride! We recently drove to Port Angeles and this ferry can make the drive much quicker.  However, we did have a crazy surprise on our way back to the ferry to come home: very slushy snow! Isn't it April?

Yesterday we came back home from lunch with our son and found this guy lounging in our backyard! He blended in so well we almost didn't notice him. He looks quite comfortable, doesn't he?

Surprise, surprise! I finally have a finish to share.  It's a baby hat that was a fun knit.

Enjoy the rest of the week!

No Finishes Yet But Lots of Walks!

On a nice day last week we took a long walk through a nearby playground that leads to another neighborhood where we saw lots of cherry blossom "snow"!

From there we continued downhill to the entrance to our favorite canyon walk where we saw another sign of spring: skunk cabbage! In case you've never seen it, it's appropriately named!

Then as we were on the way home, we saw a beautiful magnolia in full bloom. I guess in some places this is called a tulip tree. What is it called where you live?

When we were almost back home, we had a big laugh because this chicken was out for a stroll! Some days we only hear him, but this time he entertained us in person!

It looked like that worked, so I am off to eat lunch and then maybe go for a walk or try to finish a sock. Hope you are having a good week!

You Never Know What You'll See!

You probably won't guess what we saw on our walk around Green Lake the other day! We often see people with their dogs, lots of birds and flowers, but this time we saw a girl with her GOATS! (She said her mom told her that she couldn't have any more dogs, and I wonder whether her mom regrets that, don't you?)

There are lots of trails as well as the one around the lake.

Canadian geese and Coots

Lots of daffodils now

We forgot to ask her their names.

Here's my most recent finish, but it's hard to see the specks of color.

Have a great day!
