Done! The Last Two Dishcloths and a Very Happy Sign of Spring.

This one was called No Purl, and as promised, there weren't any purl stitches.

This one took a bit of concentration.

Here are all seven of them. Can you guess what I plan to do with them?

Here's a very welcome sign of spring in our backyard. This plant was tiny when we bought it, and now it's around thirty feet tall! It's also been moved a few times but not lately.

Have a great day!

Two More Dishcloths and Some Sunshine!

Can you see the stitch pattern in this one?  I was amazed to see what the yarn did though.

This one is similar to Grandma's Favorite Dishcloth that I've made many times.  I wasn't using wooden needles though, and have definitely decided I much prefer them.

We recently had several days in a row of sunshine this past week after a crazy mixture of hail/snow on Monday evening that even caused a few cars to get stuck on our hill. This view of our city was taken on one of my standard walks that takes me up one of the highest hills in our area. This is the one where if they decide the school buses can get up there in the snow, they don't cancel school for the day!

Have a nice weekend!

Another Dishcloth and Signs of Spring?

This is the right side of the dishcloth. The stitch is called the bamboo stitch.

The back side is interesting, too.

This is one unhappy daffodil after snow/hail on Monday night.

These two are happy to be inside! The top one is one from last summer's garden that I saved.

A bouquet from the grocery store; I fell in love with the orange roses and the carnations!

Hope you have a snow-free day! It's chilly but clear here, thankfully, with no snow forecasted.

Dishcloth #3 and a Mess!

Dishcloth #3 was good practice for intarsia. Can you figure out why I chose these 3 colors? (Dishcloths 3 and 4 are a bit slower going because they have  more complicated stitching.) Now I am wondering what today's pattern will look like. I need to knit faster!

Before it snowed yesterday, I took a walk and had to come home before continuing it because my bag was full and heavy.  I collected this trash in less than a mile's walk from the roadside of a nearby street!  What are the people around here thinking? I sure hope your roadsides don't look like ours do! I wonder what today's walk will look like?

Spring? A Finish, and Then/Now

The weather has been crazy here! March madness?

Day # 1 of the One Week Dishcloth Challenge. (Day # 2 may take longer!)

Our oldest grand daughter, then and now.  She loves dancing and singing and is the only grandchild with blue eyes and blonde hair, just like her grandpa; his is gray now though!

Have a nice week! As for me, I am going to be busy knitting dishcloths.....

Some Booties and Lots of Signs of Spring and Then.....

I think I've made at least 30 pairs of booties over the years, but this is the first pair for one of our daughter's friend who is now a grandma! I think you can guess the sex?

We are happy to see some crocus in our yard.

Saw these daffodils on a recent walk, and I wish we had this many blooming here!

A nice view on that same recent walk

And we are even seeing robins now.

Heather is blooming everywhere!

Not too long after seeing these pussy willows, we had some snow despite these signs of spring!  It's been rainy and snowy ever since with more predicted for the next few days.  What happened to spring?
