No Finishes Yet But Lots of Walks!

On a nice day last week we took a long walk through a nearby playground that leads to another neighborhood where we saw lots of cherry blossom "snow"!

From there we continued downhill to the entrance to our favorite canyon walk where we saw another sign of spring: skunk cabbage! In case you've never seen it, it's appropriately named!

Then as we were on the way home, we saw a beautiful magnolia in full bloom. I guess in some places this is called a tulip tree. What is it called where you live?

When we were almost back home, we had a big laugh because this chicken was out for a stroll! Some days we only hear him, but this time he entertained us in person!

It looked like that worked, so I am off to eat lunch and then maybe go for a walk or try to finish a sock. Hope you are having a good week!

We have Bradford Pear snow around here.

We call that tree magnolia too, but there is another type of magnolia here called Star Magnolia. It blooms quite a bit earlier than standard magnolia.

The petal confetti is nearly as pretty as the trees in full bloom. It’s still too cold for any blooms here.

Spring has really sprung out your way! It was 80 something here yesterday and it still looks like winter outside tree-wise. It's so weird.

The orchards in bloom is definitely one thing I will miss from where we used to live. I haven't seen any orchards out here - it's mostly cattle corn, and other big cash crops.

Put pretty cherry snow! LOL we call them Tulip trees; they always get their blooms before their leaves sprout and Magnolia trees never lose their leaves!

The walks are getting prettier around here and more spring like, yay!! I'm working on a second baby sweater as a gift for someone and hope it will be finished sooner than later.

Far as I know, they're also called magnolia down south. Spectacular blooms. Used to walk in D.C. when the cherry trees were blooming, miss that. Still in the 50s here, but it is finally warming up a little in Maine, enough to get out and walk. Come on, spring!

What a pretty walk. We don't have any flowers around here yet but at the campground just about 20 miles south of us, daffodils were in bloom and so pretty. Sorry I'm late in commenting. I could read blogs but not comment until I got home to the laptop and internet.
Many Easter blessings to you and yours!
Blessings,
