Two Finishes, Our Grand Dog, and a Crazy Plant

Pandmonium is done! It was a bit challenging though.

Here's another Ribbed Cap, this time with a pompom.

Introducing Lulu with Opa who was surprised by her visit.

We have this crazy corn plant (Dracena Fragrans) that surprised us last week.  One evening we smelled this oddly sweet smell, and sure enough the bud had opened. The last time it bloomed was maybe 10 years ago when we entered the house after a trip and smelled this same odor. I'm glad it doesn't bloom more often! (Although the flower is kind of cute.)

Hope the rest of your week brings you some surprises, too!

Oh I love Those sweet hats and the picture of Lulu getting to know Opa. :-)
The hat with the panda bears is so very comfortable.
Blessings,
Betsy

I love that panda hat! What a clever pattern. The mitten I am making is the Holm mitten from Arne and Carlos. I think you asked me about but if I'm wrong ignore that answer. I can't remember anything anymore...lol.

Love those pandas!

I have one of those plants, though it's not nearly that big! I've had it about 10 years now... no blooms for me.
Mom had a hoya like that... had it for 30 years, and it never bloomed. Then all of a sudden it did. Then the next year, it died!

Great hats! I’ve only knit a few colorwork projects but admire others’ work. The pandas are adorable.

My husband was interested in your crazy corn plant. He is an agronomist who spent his career breeding corn. So, of course he had to look it up. As an expert, he had to point out that it is technically not corn.
It is really pretty. I could see getting one!

Great work on the panda hat! I can see it has some fine color work details so you did really well with it! Your knocking out a few projects in between some lovely walks you've been doing! I'm working on a couple of hats at present but they are just simple ones
