Two Finishes Finally!

The prayer shawl is done and has been delivered. She loved it. The color is more blue than in this picture though. I have made this pattern many times.

These mitts were made for a good friend who found the pattern and is a pretty quick project. The yarn had a surprise white streak that was hidden in the middle, so I had to work around it!

On the last sunny day here we went to one of our favorite parks. It's right in the middle of town and appropriately named the Bellevue Downtown Park. It's a great place for a walk with lots to see, including some interesting artwork.

This piece recognizes that the park was created from what used to be the original high school, and on the back it says Union High School. The path leads to an interesting side trail with lots of flowers, bushes, and trees.

The ducks and geese love this park, too. You can barely see the water that circles the whole area. In the winter there's a skating rink there!

This is a photo of the most recent art installation. We were there once when they were working on it, and much of the many pieces were on the ground.

Despite the fact that we've been to this park so many times, this is the first time I'd ever seen this piece! It's right in the very middle of the park and not real obvious.

Hope you've enjoyed this little tour. If you're ever in the area, we'd be happy to take a walk with you there!

The park looks like a fun place to explore. I like the white tree-like sculptures

The shawl is beautiful and I'm sure your friend is very appreciative to receive it. The mitts too. Isn't it frustrating when you're trying to make identical pieces and get a surprise like that?
The park looks like a lot of fun with lots to explore. I wish we would have visited with you when we were in Spokane. We never in a million years have guessed we would be moving away. We miss the northwest so much.
Blessings and hugs,
Betsy
