Knitting and Stitching and Then Some~~~

No knit finishes this week although I did work a little bit on this Sock which is a maroon colored Opal yarn and a little bit on Weeping Angel after a lot of frogging on it. Sigh.  Don't you just love negative progress?

Much of my spare stitching time this week was done on this Sunbonnet Sue Block.  Ten are finished with two left to complete before I can start piecing the quilt.  I have, however, chosen the sashing and border fabric and will try to remember to include a photo in my next post.

And of course, this was Halloween week.  Would you believe not one trick or treater stopped at our house?  I'll bet these two Cats had fun in their neighborhood though.  Rumor has it that big brother dressed up in a Lego costume.  Hope to get a picture of that, Mama Jill!

Super Max looks like he enjoyed his very first Halloween, doesn't he?  His helmet is to correct a flat spot on his head, but I think it looks like a good idea for folks trying to imitate Super Man, don't you?   I don't know about you all, but I'm having a hard time getting it through my head that this really is November.  Where did this year go???

Yes, indeed, where did the year go?

The yarn is such a beautiful color - I look forward to see the positive progress on these socks. ;oD

Little Superman is a cutie!

I agree --- time is flying by way too quickly.

The kids are adorable in their kitty costumes and little Max in his Superman get up.

Sunbonnet Sue is cute with her gold beads on her shoes.

Sorry to hear about the Weeping Angel socks. I have a sock in time out right now because I'm not looking forward to frogging 20 or so rows. The Opal yarn is a beautiful color. Looks like some cabling? Cute, cute, cute little trick or treaters.

I don't know where October went myself...but maybe it was all the traveling we did. Your Grandkids all look so cute...Max is getting so big! Your Sunbonnet Sue quilt is going to be adorable...all the blocks are wonderful! We had quite a few trick or treaters..more than last year. Have a great weekend!

I, too, frogged an item this past week. The Beehive Hat was about 5" along and I had to rip and start over. Cute little ones.

Can't believe all the knitting you've done! I wish I could get back in the groove with my knitting... So much work in your embroidered blocks--how many stitches have you learned? What a fun quilt this will be! We don't even turn the porch light on anymore for trick or treaters, just not worth the trouble for a handful of kids; but your grandkids sure were cute. BTW, I loved Sophia's anemone hat!

That burgundy yarn is really delicious looking, it'll make some very nice socks. Your grandkids look extra cute in their costumes. We're lucky and get lots of trick or treaters. We really enjoy seeing the neighborhood kids and their costumes.

Wonderful photos....super Max is too cute and I thought the helmet was very appropriate when doing super man tricks. That cats certainly look like they were ready for fun. Funny that you mentioned that you had no trick or treaters. We had two knock on our door and we don't even celebrate Halloween in Australia although it is slowly creeping into the shops more and more each year.

Negative knit progress is tough ...I really think you hit it on the head.

Your trick or treaters are adorable one and all!

This year went so fast! agreed. Both kids moved away, we traveled and we took in Al's cat Tank. Seems like a successful year on many fronts but a toughie with a few other subjects. Life...always interesting eh?
