A Little Getaway and a January Finish

On Thursday we drove up to the Summit at Snoqualmie Pass, elevation 3022. It's pretty snowy up there, isn't it? And the best part is there's not even one flake at our house!

Can you see the lady and her dog?

Here's my first finish of 2021.  It's a blanket for a very special little boy who was born on December 29th. It's our Chicago daughter's newest nephew, and we know his parents. That's it for today.  Happy Sunday!

Beautiful blanket, and lovely snow - as long as I'm not in it. If I were wealthy and could live there with peeps to shovel the snow, make sure the house stayed warm, and cook and clean and shop for me (hey, might as well go whole hog, right?), I wouldn't mind, because I'd never have to go out in it! It seems low to be so snowy, but then it's those NW mountains. I remember feeling like we were on top of the world there and we passed a sign that said Elevation: 632 ft. LOL

That's what our ski places look like too, but I'm glad we haven't had any snow in a couple of weeks now. They can keep it on the mountaintops.
Such a pretty blanket. Congratulations on a new baby in the family, no matter how far removed. Babies are ALWAYS good.
Blessings,
Betsy

What a beautiful blanket. I have tried several times to make a blanket for my new grandson in MI but have given up. All my attempts look plain old ratty. I just don't seem to have the knack. I did make him a quilted one. Araignee

Beautiful blanket and the snow so glad we don’t have that much here. New babies are such a blessing especially now.
Thanks for visiting and commenting on my blog.

I can’t imagine dealing with that much snow and finding a place to put ALL of it!
