SAL Update

Despite the fact that I've been doing lots of knitting lately, I have made some progress on the Valentine SAL. I just love the way Pam Kellogg incorporates blackwork into her designs. They are definitely challenging to stitch!

Wow!!! This rose is really coming along great! I can't wait to see what you are going to do with it. I love roses and this is a perfect beauty, that is for sure.
The white peacock's tail was done with a few stitches (hindsight I think they were more to guide me) and then I started filling in with sweetheart roses. Copy and paste this url to get a great video instruction on how to make one: http://honeybeesbliss.blogspot.

tutorial.html
(I had to break it up to fit it in the comment box.)
Then I just tried to get the roses to kind of shape like a folded tail with the thickest part down the center.
Thanks so much for asking,
Wendy

It looks beautiful! I'm thinking about going to buy the one she's just finishing, because she posted part 3 and it's so pretty!
