We have had this manger for many years! It was built by our next door neighbor in San Diego. At that time the local grocery store had a new figure every week, and as you can tell, I got them.
We see lots of different versions of these reindeer in our neighborhood, and it's fun to see them on our walks.
Here in Washington it gets dark pretty early this time of year, so it's nice to have lights on the trees in our yard.
Guess what I've been doing lately? I love to take cookies to our neighbors, and this year made 4 different batches as well as one of cupcakes. These are meringue cookies, one of my favorite recipes.
~~~ Merry Christmas!
Such good sights and smells this time of year! I used to love meringue cookies. I haven't had one in years.
Merry Late Christmas! We just got home late, late Saturday and I'm trying to catch up with my friends in blogland. The cookies look wonderful. Yum!
Blessings and hugs,
Betsy
We have a nativity that my Mother-in-Law painted years ago. It's always special to put that out. I don't bake any cookies for Christmas, have just never liked baking. Instead I make egg casseroles for everyone in the family that they can have for their Christmas Morning Breakfast. My older brother asked me the other day how long I've been doing that....we've decided about 45 ish years.
Oophs hit publish before I got to say Happy New Year to you.
