Off the Needles and More

Whew!  I had plenty of yarn to finish booties to match Stella's hat and mittens.  There was even a fair bit left!

For the first time in quite a while I got out my sewing machine to make something new, a little hat for Stella. The kit was from the Purl Bee  and contained everything I needed including matching thread.   Sure hope it still fits her!  Ginger looks mighty interested, doesn't she?

My other finish this week is something that kept being put at the end of the list. I finally sewed the binding on Sunbonnet Sue.  Hurrah!

Close-ups in case you're interested:

Mocha doesn't need a quilt to keep warm. She just heads to the nearest vacant register.

And here's Stella wearing her Ugg booties.  They finally fit!

Sunbonnet Sue turned out beautiful! So sweet. Will it go to one of your granddaughters?

Mocha sure knows how to catch the heat. LOL

Yikes, I just remembered you shared the bootie pattern with me and I haven't knit a pair yet. I really need to get them started.

Love the quilt and the adorable kitty photos.

Such cute little booties! I can see that Stella is going to be the best-dressed little girl among all her friends :*) Sunbonnet Sue is looking very nice too - great finish!

Hi Judy

Well, the booties to match Stella's hat and
mittens are adorable. Glad to see you had
enough yarn to finish them both.

And that hat is so cute! Love the pretty
floral fabric you used. You should have
put it on Ginger and taken a picture! Or
perhaps not.

Congrats on getting the binding on Sun
Bonnet Sue. Does that mean it's done
now? (a quilter i'm not). Love those
sweet little girls engaged in all their
activities. A lot of work there.

Ah the cat on the register. Our Phoebe
does that too. Soon as the furnace
comes on in the morning she's right
on it. Don't know how she stands it.

The photos of beautiful, sunny ....warm
... California were great. I would love
being at the beach most of all. Not for
sun bathing though. Just to walk and
poke around in the shallows and admire
the view.

Loved the picture of the squirrels. I
had to laugh because on the big
monthly calendar at work last week
was noted "squirrel appreciation day".
Really? There is such a thing? We
have lots of 'em here. Black, grey and
red.

Cheers!!

It's great to see the finish of the Sunbonnet Sue quilt - enjoyed watching the progress! Wish we had one of those registers here at work... even though it is a lot warmer today (63° and rain), it would be great to have one to warm the tootsies!

Your quilt is fantastic. Oh the work that went into making it. Love your kitties. Mocha is so funny but I think I will join her. Did not get above 30 here today and there were a few snow snifters. :-(
