Happy Thanksgiving! And a Couple of Finishes ~

Look  what just bloomed right on time.  Happy Thanksgiving!

I made these Love Bug mitts for a good friend's birthday.

This hat will be a Christmas gift.

 

Celebrating!

Despite the rain, we went to Gig Harbor last Wednesday to celebrate Dick's birthday, and now we are both the same age again! 😉 Where we stayed was right on the water and within the walking distance of two nearby restaurants. (Both times we made it back to our place without getting too wet, but it did rain all night and hasn't quit since we got back home.)

As you can see, it was really foggy and wet the next morning, but that heron on the dock outside of our place didn't mind at all.

It's been raining ever since we got back home, and the rain is supposed to continue for days, so there will be lots of knitting and maybe even some sewing completed to show for my next post! Today we are getting a new dishwasher which adds a bright spot to our day, hurrah.

Stocking # 3 and Our Backyard

Yesterday I just finished my last Christmas stocking with this really fun fabric. This one is two-sided.  I think I mentioned that my quilt group makes these for the Ronald MacDonald House in Seattle.

                   

 

Lately, we've had some interesting things in our backyard, including a Steller's Jay that loves to eat peanuts whole and some very interesting mushrooms.

Two Finishes!

Well, we didn't have one trick-or-treater because of the rain, and it's still pouring this morning! But I have 2 Christmas stockings finished with one more to go before our next quilt meeting. We make them for the Ronald MacDonald house in Seattle. Can you tell the difference in these 2?
