Christmas SAL and Knitting Update

Whew! I've finished two whole letters on my Christmas Sampler and only have 24 more to go. This is proving to be a more daunting project than I expected; all those close colors and tiny stitches are a real challenge to my aging eyeballs. Plus, I am reminded that I don't really like Aida cloth. Oh well, it will be pretty if it ever gets finished.....

Every week when Dick and I head into Seattle to volunteer at the UW hospital, I work on my "car" knitting and have finished quite a few dishcloths that way. The latest is the Citizen Kane pattern which can be found on Ravelry.

I also completed a different type of diagonal scarf and used up a ball of Moonlight Mohair from my stash.

We're in the process of packing for our trip to our niece's wedding, so I need to run. Happy crafting; we'll be back soon.

That Christmas sampler is beautiful, but hard I know, with tiny stitches. I love your knitting too. I have also made many dishclothes...fun quick project. I want to make my first pair of socks, but haven't found a pattern that looks easy enough. Enjoy your family wedding!

I just love seeing your knitting projects. I really like that dishcloth pattern, and what a good idea to work on it in the car. I have trouble understanding what one does on Ravelry, but I managed to find the pattern.

I like the crosstitch, used to do it years ago but can't seem to get back into it. How come you don't like the aida?

Just think how happy you'll be once your sampler is finished. I admire cross stitchers - It takes more patience that I have. The knitting is beautiful - love the scarf and the colors in it are gorgeous

Projects galore - 24 more! It will be so beautiful when finished, though... Just take your time and stitch as you feel the urge.

OH, Judy - I just love, love your wedding pieces. That purse is SO special. Tell me she loved it. And the ring 'bear' pillow - how adorable is that? Just what the bride ordered; right?

Your knitted projects are lovely. I like the yarn colors in both. You cross stitch project is beautiful too, but it does tax the eyesight, doesn't it?

You know, I think I have that same Christmas sampler. I must see if I can find it. It's looking good.

You can send the scarf to ... LOL, I LOVE the softness of it. Your SAL should be done by next Christmas, looking at it that way... you're way ahead of the game. BTW, Your header of the blossoms is lovely. Happy Spring!
