Spring and a Fun Yarn

This little guy visited our backyard the other day. It's the first time in ages we have seen a humming bird! Do you think this is a young one?

We have been enjoying the iris that are blooming now especially this one!

Have you ever tried knitting with King Cole Cherish yarn? It says baby double knitting on the label, but no matter the size of the hat, it creates an interesting project! I loved the first one so much that I had to find some other colors.

What Have We Been Doing Lately?

Yikes! It's been quite a while since I posted, perhaps because it's been kind of busy here. Just recently we got back from 10 days in the Midwest where we attended lots of our relatives' concerts, watched our grand daughter graduate, and visited with my sister and her husband, 2 of my cousins, and a friend from my growing up days.

Here are me and my sister standing by a poster of my granddaughter (Jane's niece). Sophia sings and dances in the Mundelein High School Honor Choir, and this was her last concert before graduation.

Every year their wonderful choir director makes a teddy bear for each of the graduating seniors. That must have taken a while because there were 12 seniors!

Because Mundelein High School is big, Sophia was one of 500 graduates! Here she is with her diploma.  On to college next fall to study education since she wants to teach kindergarten

So this is just a few of our photos from our time there, and I will show more of them later soon!
