Yesterday morning, much to our surprise, we woke up to this
and this.
Then our Chicago daughter sent us this, taken of their backyard:
Now that's real snow, isn't it? Check out the swings; I don't think anyone's going to use them anytime soon, do you? The ice on "their lake" is said to be 22 inches thick!
Despite the snow on our hill and theirs, we made it over to our local daughter's house no problem. Here's Dad and Max examining their neighbor's frozen Seahawks fan. It's hard to see but there are lots of little snow people at its feet.
It fits! She does NOT like it tied, however. Have a warm and cozy week!

What an adorable picture with the hat. Aren't hats and babies the most fun?! Brrr I could never live in a cold place like Chicago. I'm struggling with NC! We are supposed to have something, rain, sleet, snow it's all up in the air, literally!
What a n awesome picture of you Judy! That baby is adorable.
I just trudged through hip high snow to fill our bird feeders in the yard here in Chicago. I had to., the poor birds have been waiting for me
Yes, it fits and she loves it! Nice job
Love the snow "fans" ----- Enjoy the snowy surprise AND the grandbabies. They are adorable.

We have had no snow so far to speak of, but I think our kids in Charlotte are about to get hit with a lot later tonight. Such a great picture of you with the sweet grandbaby!!!!
Yes, that's quite a "white" surprise! Wow. And then, to see what Chicago got...oh my goodness! It's fun to see what folks create with their snowman ideas. They are usually good for a chuckle or two. And say, the little hat fits your granddaughter perfectly. What a precious picture of the two of you!
that is a lot of snow! Makes me cold just looking at the pictures of it. Hope you are staying warm.
Hi Judy,
Well, well. Welcome to the "Never Ending
Winter of Snow" club!! Membership is free
to everyone residing in North America who
can't quite recall what exactly the colour
green looks like anymore.
I do think the picture you're using as your
blog banner is lovely though. Seriously.
Now your Chicago daughter's back yard
looks about the same as ours, minus
the swing set. Sigh!
I do love that Seahawks snowman and
all his little friends. Quite the jaunty
fellow. Wonder how long he'll last?
Ah, Stella looks adorable in her new
chapeau!! It's funny that she doesn't
like it tied up though. What a super
cutie she is.
Stay warm!! Cheers!

Hi Judi! Aw, that looks so cute on Stella. Wow, wasn't that snow fun? It's great if you don't have to drive in it isn't it? Love the Seahawk snow fan too!
