Last weekend we visited a new yarn shop in West Seattle called Seattle Yarn. Oh my, I could have spent a fortune there, but didn't....quite. Just as I was checking out, I spotted this fun red yarn (Feza, Candy) that had colorful felt balls every few yards or so, and it called my name. Well, 1 skein wasn't quite enough to finish the prescribed shawl, so I ripped it back this morning and changed the pattern slightly. I also have made negative progress on the cape that I started a few weeks ago because I messed up on the seed stitch border and couldn't fix it. Do you think the cats are searching for frogs?
Sothia is quickly outgrowing my 36" circular needle. The endless ruffle, now 618 stitches-worth, is taking forever as I slog across the row, worrying about running out of yarn. I do have a plan, however, if that happens so stay tuned as I work my way up to 793 stitches. YIKES!
Max isn't worried though. Just give him a car or Mega Block, he's a happy guy. It won't be much longer that he'll fit under this stool, will it?
~~~
Have a wonderful holiday weekend, and don't forget to visit Patchwork Times to see if anyone else is besieged by frogs.
Boy, does that picture of Max bring back fond memories. Stephen almost ALWAYS had a Matchbox car in his hand. He had a little mat that had a town printed on it and in "bad weather" he would pull it under the kitchen table just like Max under the stool.
Thanks for the walk down memory land (AND for the adorable card that came my way today).
Looks like your project is going to be beautiful when finished...although I hate to frog when I crochet...
A new yarn shop...oh my goodness. Glad you had fun shopping for luscious yarns!
Sorry about the frogging!
That is a lot of stitches....good going. Great photo of Max....he certainly looks to be having fun.
Send Max over--I need a little boy for a few hours!
I'd say at 618 stitches that "slogging" is a good term. How long does it take to knit a row?
Exploring new yarn shops is exciting: I'm glad you found a yarn that "spoke" to you. Anxious to see your finished project(s).
Pretty projects, Judy. Cute picture of Max. My son loved his matchbox cars too.
Oh, that photo of Max is precious. I love our little grands and their cars! ;)
You will love your Sothia when it is finished! Worth every stitch in that LONG ruffle! ;) blessings ~ tanna
My goodness - that looks like a really fun red yarn! Can't wait to see what you end up making with that :*) And that's a TON of stitches on your needles! I bet it is getting pretty heavy and difficult to work with too. But it is looking mighty fine :*) Babies sure know how to have fun anywhere and with anything handy, don't they? I miss having them around!
ahhh those ruffles...they are so pretty but so much work at the finish when you want to be DONE!
THe cats have been playing under the chairs just like that beautiful BOY!
A new yarn shop????? I want to go! LOL
I would love to spend a fortune in a shop but then where would all the dreaming go?? I do love to wish and dream of future yarns.
