Whenever these spiders show up, we know that fall is on its way. Actually this guy's not really as huge as this closeup makes him look, but he is large! And hasn't been seen since his photo debut; perhaps he's shy?
With the advent of the spiders, I was reminded that I had some projects to finish before we go to Chicago to see the grandkids. Besides Sophia's birthday sweater, I'd also been working on some other things that needed finishing. And finish them I did. Can you guess who gets what?
Dee had the link to this pattern on her blog. I tried to make it look like Mocha because Sophia always wants to see Mocha whenever we Skype with her.
Mocha's not too sure about this next project but it's a great one for using up odds and ends of yarn. The rings are, too. (The pattern links can be found on my Ravelry page at jatshaw.)
Yes, I've been having fun!
I also tackled some longstanding UFOs this month but will save them for another post.

I would guess the blue sweater is for your small grandson. The vest for the bigger grandson and the hat for Sophia!
That hat is too cute!!
What a cute Mocha hat! And I imagine those little toys will be welcomed, too! With a couple more 'antlers' they'll make perfect reindeer...
Talk about who has been busy. I love the blue yarn in the sweater and vest. The hat i so cute, can older woman wear those. LOL Love the little kitty toys too. Yes I feel Fall is here already. Not much of a summer. Hope this winter is not filled with the snow they are predicting. Have fun in Chicago.
You've been busy...everything is so cute. I love Sophia's hat! I'm sure she will love it!
Looks like you've been quite busy. :-) I love the blue sweaters and the cute hat.
What an adorable hat, and lovely sweaters for the kiddies. Baby and kid's garments are wonderful to knit because they don't generally take so long I get bored with them. That reminds me, I've got to get started on a baby sweater for a baby that's due in December.
I think your cat was thinking they were alive.LOL
Lovely projects!

I don't even knit but those brought a smile to my face :) You are good! And love the funny/cute creatures for the cat!
YOu are a knitting whiz!!! I'm always amazed at how much you finish! LOVE the mocha hat! I need to go over to Ravelry and friend you there...I know I haven't gotten as much from that site as I know is there. Have a great trip~!
What great projects Judy...gosh your knitting is so neat!
The photo of Mocha made me smile; he's really not sure about that little 'alien' is he? :-)

PS Found the brill photo of Daniel...is that a cucumber or a skittle, lol!!!
What a seriously gnarly looking spider - yuck!
We've had more spiders this year that ever. I wish I knew what was up. I know they eat bugs but I'm really tired of walking into webs (shivvvvver).
Thanks for visiting. I'm glad you enjoyed the photos.
