Dino Boy

Jill and Michael sent this photo a while ago at David's request. He wanted Opa to see the train bridge that he'd made. And he just happened to be wearing his dinosaur sweater. The other day he told Jill, "I have lots of songs in my lungs." This was after he sang an original song about the worm he had just deposited in the compost pile.
Look at my train bridge!
No one, to my surprise, has mentioned anything about the raccoon in my recent "Natural Colors" post. This little critter has been visiting us over the past few months, and we think s/he might have an interesting story to tell.
Have you seen my tail?
Whatever happened to its tail? If only s/he could talk! I thought for sure someone might have noticed on the earlier photo........
Did you try fishing through the ice like the bear did? Or is someone wearing a new cap?

Dino boy is very cute in his dino sweater. we hear lots of newly invented songs too. yesterday ay lunch Moo sang a sond until we were all ready to scream!

and the racoon is very cute - of course he should have a tail, but i must confess to not being as familiar with racoons as I thought although my knowledge of racoons has been augmented by Pixar (?) film- it took me a while to realise :)

The song about the worm deposited in the compost cracked me up! What a cutie! In our experience racoons are not always pleasant creatures, but a shame he's lost his tail.

David definitely has a creative way with words--what a sweetheart. He looks very handsome in his special sweater, and he reminds me of my son at that age, especially posed next to a trains, which were Alex's obsession.

And yes, that racoon must have a story to tell...

I SO want to hear a song about a worm on a compost heap!! That would bring back many happy memories of my teaching days. We often used to invent our own songs... my favourite was about a jellyfish falling off a rock and losing a sock....(not my idea!)
Did you take the photo of the raccoon standing on its hind legs Judy? Thats brilliant!
Love

Hey Judy! Hmmm ... we don't have racoons in Australia except maybe in zoos, so I guess I didn't miss the tail. Are racoons like dogs and wag their tails when they're happy? If so ... how will we know when THIS racoon is happy?! Tee! Hee! Hee! Hope your little 'dino boy' keeps finding songs in his lungs, cos it's a great way to get through the day! Bear Hugs! KRIS
