Happy Almost Halloween! And an Update.

You may be wondering where I've been. Well September has been a weird and a bit challenging month. Well, early in the month my Afib, which had been under control for a couple of years, reappeared and then we had a crazy trip to the Midwest which ended up with us coming home with COVID-19 despite having had the most recent vaccine. It took a while for both of us to get our energy back, and I am scheduled for Cardioversion on Friday and hope it works.  Despite all the craziness, I have finished quite a few projects!

I made these booties for our choir director's new baby and this little unicorn for the baby's big sister.  I included the Fancy Nancy and the Quest for the Unicorn book also.

I also made these two hats which will be donated to a local charity that provides lots of help to families with children, including babies through middle schoolers.

And I made these two pairs of socks. I am making the top pair again in a plain color and changing the pattern to include another heart.  The second pattern includes a short row sock, but I used the same heel as the first sock.

I need to get ready to have lunch with a friend but will post some more photos soon. Have a fun Halloween!

I'm so sorry to hear of your recent health challenges. It seems like everyone had Covid this fall, especially those who had avoided it so far.
Your projects are lovely. Those little booties are precious!

I'm sorry you have had such a rough time! A cardioversion isn't a ton of fun but I hope it will help you soon enough! the socks and booties are so pretty---the work!

Oh my goodness you've had some battles. I'm sorry about the aFib and Covid. We keep hearing that about the vaccines this time. They aren't preventing anything at all. My friend said she didn't even have a "lighter" case, even with the vaccine. She ended up in the hospital for a week or so.
Your projects are so beautiful. You like the same heel that I do for socks. And the booties and unicorn are darling. Piper used to love Fancy Nancy books. I enjoyed reading them with her and now I miss them. She's growing too fast for Grandma! A couple of babies will really appreciate those sweet little hats too.
Take care and feel better.
Blessings and hugs,
Betsy

Praying your doctors can get the heart issue resolved or at least controlled again. Great job on the knitting projects.

Sorry to hear about the A-Fib. Hubby has it and has done well for a couple of years and then had a spell, so back on the blood thinners. So many people have it, I never realized how common it was until he was diagnosed. Sorry you had Covid as well. Geesh....We just got back from touring Sicily and 5 people got it right after getting back, which probably means we were all exposed, but as far as I know no one else got it. Lots of nice projects, but those cute little green booties are darling!!
