A Kitty Dishcloth, a Frequent Visitor, and Two More Summer Flowers

This dishcloth is a fun one to knit!  I used smaller needles than suggested because the cotton yarn was a lot thinner.

This little guy visits us several times a day asking for treats.  It's a Towhee. Guess what it loves? Peanuts in the shell! It picks them up and flies into the bushes where I think it keeps them.  We also have Stellar Jays, and they will swallow the peanuts whole, shell and all, so they can pick up two at a time!

Columbines grow really well here and come back every year. This one is in a pot and is a really pretty color, I think.

One of my favorite plants is blooming well now and always reminds me of my grandmother who had them in her yard, too.  It's a Mock Orange and smells so nice!
~~~
That's all for today. Have a great one!
What a sweet little bird! We had a bluebird here for a while. It would come sit on the deck rail every day but I haven't seen it in a while.
That dishcloth is so cool. It would make a good gift for a kitty lover.
Cute dishcloth. I planted two columbine this year, and hope the do well. I’m trying to get a small perennial garden started without too much success the last few years.
Sweet little Towhee! Jays have something like a little pocket in their neck - they can store the nuts in there and take them to a little stash and eat them at their leisure!
The dishcloth will find its way into my knitting queue! The bird is so sweet-and I love it when they 'ask' for seeds/nuts! I can just smell the mock orange bush!!! Have a good week!
