Every January Wendy of Knitters Brewing Company features a sock KAL, and every year the pattern gets more interesting, er....... challenging. This year celebrates her 10th year of doing this and started officially yesterday. This is about half of my cuff, and I have no idea where it's going next.
Then, I happened onto another KAL for mitts, thanks to Tanna. (She has a really nice blog!) I'm anxiously waiting for Clue 2 tomorrow and have decided to only tackle one mitt at a time.
My awesome sister made this pillowcase for me for Christmas. Click on the photo to see the details as it's a great fabric for knitters. (And she knows my favorite color is red!) She also made pillowcases for all of her seven grandkids. Isn't she amazing?
And besides that, she knit this fabulous scarf for me! She's one crafty person, that's for sure. Isn't it great to receive something handmade just for you? Hope you all are looking forward to a good week!

The Brewing Company project does look challenging! It will be fun to see where it's going.
Ditto for the mitt. I always do one at a time -- especially for a KAL
And that is a darling -- and appropriate -- pillowcase. What a sweet sister you have.
Whoa, that KAL does look challenging!
I love the gifts your sister gave you - very nice.
Apparently, you come from a family of very talented crafters!!! Enjoy the new gifts!
Girl, y'all are a crew of excellent and prolific handwork ladies! Just checked and Clue 3 is up. I think I'm just going to have to do the left one over... that messed up first ladder rung is driving me crazy. Ha!! Happy knitting, Judy! blessings ~ tanna
I'm trying to be a good girl and not joining any sals :p I need a big project to be finished this year.
Good for you, I have never joined a KAL or CAL because I fear I can't keep up. I wish you tons of luck as you work on these fun projects.
I haven't joined any KAL's or CAL's right now because I have so many other things going on, but I love the fun and friendships made of them. The socks look great and it will be fun to see where the pattern takes you. The pillowcase fabric is perfect for a knitter. How sweet of her to make it for you. I've made several of the drop stitch scarves and find the pattern lots of fun. I found it in a little yarn shop in downtown Portland, OR. years ago.
Have a lovely day!
Blessings,
Betsy
I certainly admire your ambition! I love that pillowcase. How fun is that?
goodness you've got lots of fun knits!! I love the socks :) and the scarf too!!
The sock looks like a broomstick lace pattern! FUN!!!
Im glad someone you love created something you love!!!!
They are all great patterns, and that first one is really, really pretty and lacy. I thought it was going to be a scarf. It looks like you've been permanently taken over by the knitting demons. =)
Clever people run in your family, great creations from your sister. That sock looks interesting.
I'm going to enjoy following along you knitting along! These are going to be fun and pretty projects for sure. Your sister's gifts are beautiful. Your family is super lucky to have so much crafty talent in it!
