A "Potato Chip" Cowl (I've Gone Cowl Crazy!)

Little did I know when I saw the Interrupted Cowl on Dee's website earlier this summer that this innocent little pattern would turn into a potato chip project, one just leads to another and another!  So far I have made three of them.  The yarn is Universal's Bamboo Bloom Handpaints, and I already had yarn in my stash for the first one. You've already seen it, but in case you forgot, here it is:

I loved it so much, I got yarn for two more but this time Bamboo Bloom.  First I made this one, and gave it to Kathyb.

And I just finished this one yesterday:

Then, you guessed it? Before my needles cooled off, I ordered two more skeins, but this time I went back to Bamboo Bloom Handpaints.  We'll see what happens next!   Since my order isn't here yet, I guess I'll just have to get back to some of my other WIPs and one really ancient UFO.  Wish me luck.  Visit JudyL to see what others are knitting!

Good luck!

I have one more skein of that yarn in my stash. It is so much fun to knit up.

It's nice to find a pattern that you want to do over and over. It takes me so long to do anything that I usually hate it by the time I am done.

Isn't it fun to find a pattern that is attractive and makes a wonderful gift! I love all of the ones you've knit.

Your cowls are beautiful and such a great gift!! I don't even want to think about ancient UFOs. I have so many I think they have curled up and mummified. I am potato chip knitting dishcloths for the moment, but I do want to get back to the stash sweater and finish before winter.

I love when a pattern becomes obsessive! The best part about knitting, and your cowl looks fabulous!!

You make me smile. Don't you have a huge yarn stash? If not, why not?

Judy, you are the best for reminding me about this pattern, I have two skeins of that yarn in my stash, I had better cast on.

Good job on the cowl.. I have never made one.. I guess I'm more of a scarf and shawl person. I'm working on 3 hats for my nephew's 3 girls.. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

Those are so pretty and I know how fast they knit up. I made one back in February with the Bamboo Bloom yarn. Love how they feel when you wear them too. Here's my post from then http://darspatchworkgarden.blogspot.com/2016/02/on-needles-feb-12-2016.html

I love that moment when the yarn arrives and I can get back to the knitting I want to do as opposed to the knitting I really need to do. I love the cowls!!
