Celebration Weekend

Last weekend our youngest turned forty! One sister and friends helped celebrate, and Max helped with the candles. Hard to believe that forty years ago, I got to come home from the hospital with this young man---on my own birthday!  We celebrated that the next day at Giddy Up, a newish hamburger place in Ballad.  It's a perfect spot for families!

That afternoon Little Miss modeled my newest creation, a sleeveless  cardigan. The pattern is free on Ravelry.

Size 1-3 fit this almost two year old perfectly.

She holds her own with the big kids.

We've had beautiful weather for the past few weeks, and as a result the garden has been screaming for attention. In fact Dick is out there right now mowing the backyard, and I need to go water my pots.

So long for now.

The little sweater looks so cute on your little cutie! Hard to understand how our children can be getting so old when we're not isn't it?

What a perfect little sweater for your little cutie!
And please send some of that great weather our way. It's been miserably hot and humid here.

Such great family times! My daughter (oldest child) turned 40 last year and that was quite a milestone for me. But I think when the youngest hits it, that will be even harder! Love the little cardigan - such a sweet color and it looks great on the beautiful little "model" :*)

How could you have a son 40? You aren't that old yourself, are you? Looks like you really ARE having wonderful weather.

How cool that you and your son share a birthday. I still can't believe I am the mother of a 27 year old! The years really do fly.
You have such a lovely family. Your gatherings all look so sweet. Love the cardigan on your granddaughter!

The garden looks full of color and life! Lots of joy out there. The little cardi fits her perfectly, very cute. She definitely looks like she can hang with big kids, all the kids. hehe.

Happy Birthday to you and yours!
