Dishcloths make perfect travel knitting. The patterns aren't too complex, and it doesn't take too long to finish. They are also a good place to try out new stitch patterns.
This one is a variation on Grandma's Favorite Dishcloth. It does require a bit of concentration though. (Ask me how I know.....)
This one is a fun variation on the basket weave.
And these two are Mere's favorite wash cloth pattern. Something happened this time, and the first one turned out a bit wonky, more lack of concentration, probably, but the second one is just fine.
This pattern is called Stacatto and was from the KnitPicks site.
This is a fun stitch called the waffle stitch and is interesting on both sides.
Links to all of these patterns can be found on my Ravelry page: jatshaw. Try one; they are fun! To see what others have on their needles go to Patchwork Times.

I think Meredith got a whole lot of folks knitting up that "Almost Lost" dishcloth.
That's certainly a fun one!
Your cloths look great. You've been a busy little knitter!
Love the variety and colors, Judy!! blessings ~ tanna
Beautiful cloths - a nice variety of type and color. I tend to knit just the basic dishcloth.
Gorgeous Judy! My sister has just begun to crochet.
She is getting good at dishcloths! I LOVE a handmade dish cloth best!!!!
They are all just terrific. Such a variation in color and patterns. I can just feel the fun from here!
I love them all. and really who cares if one is a bit wonky. It still does the job.
Oh my goodness you have made so many, I love them all but do have a favorite.....can you tell which on it is?
Hugs,
Meredith
So much variety, and they all look great!
You picked up some great patterns for washcloths. The round ones look so lacy!
So many pretty cloths. The waffle cloth has a nice texture. I'll have to give it a try.
the yellow ones are such a burst of bright color!! you are on a dish cloth kick!
Judy, the black one, Berocco Ultra Alpaca is a 5-6, the Noro is the 4-5.
I could see traveling with washcloths by car, but for flying trips, I'm a firm believer in fingering weight!
Dishcloths are always fun! KnitPicks is doing 52 Weeks of Dishcloths, and this is the second year. They're all free, and they have some really interesting patterns. Have you seen them?
These are all so wonderful. Terrific patterns. How long does a dishcloth last for, and I am right in thinking you use them when washing up the dishes? Do they smell after a bit. As you can guess, I don't have them over this way or know of anyone that does.
