Summer Finishes~

Finally it's finished! Started in 2009 for the Central Park Hoodie KAL, this sweater was completed at last when I quit procrastinating the seam stitching and sewed on the last button in time to mail it off to DD#1 for her birthday. Sure hope it fit!
I also turned in another purple hat this week, using the same pattern but with an I-cord top. There's still more yarn, so I started hat #3 but am using a different stitch pattern, a mock cable, to keep from being totally bored.
Tomorrow is the first day of fall, but we are still having roses! Just a few weeks ago one of our rose trees looked like this:
And just this week our hydrangea had its first bud. Last winter took a terrible toll on our hydrangeas, but they keep trying! Happy Autumn! (in 12 hours or so~)

I love Central Park Hoodie! I can't wait to see a picture of your daughter wearing it.

Beautiful roses. We tried growing them here, but it's too humid in the summer and they all got black spot.
:-( Orchids do MUCH better.

Wow that hoodie is great! Looks like something I would just buy, but to have something like that made with love is so wonderful! Looking forward to being there tomorrow...can't wait to see some beautiful hydrangeas around.

I love the sweater, with a hood and everything, really amazing. The cap is so pretty, I love that shade and the border around it is cute.

Oh Judy! That sweater is gorgeous! I'm thinking I'll start knitting again (although my work compared to yours shouldn't even be called knitting!) in November.

I really like the look of Central Park, but I'm somewhat scared of knitting something so big. Socks seem so much safer to me!

I bet DD is really happy to get this one for her birthday! It's a lovely design, and those yellow/salmon roses are beautiful, too.

Your sweater turned out great! It may have taking you a long time to finish, but it certainly was worth the wait :) It lovely and I'm sure your daughter will cherish it!

Terrific hoodie! I love the cables - I have always loved that stitch in knitting!

Happy Autumn!

P.S. Free motion stitching is easy peasy.
