In Just a Little More Than 3 Days....

The fun Begins! It's hard to believe that next week, starting on Monday night, all these people and many more will be arriving for Brent and Catherine's wedding. We are going to be busy......having fun!

We've had a few sunny days this week and the flowers are showing their appreciation. We hope the sunshine continues. but we'll be celebrating even in the rain.

Aren't family weddings great?

Hi Judy,

We're still in Daffodil season
here right now, although the
odd tulip can be seen in flower
if you look for them. I think
it'll be early May before we'll
be in the thick of Tulip season.
Your selection of tulips look
lovely in your photo.

It amazes me how many different styles and colors tulips can
come in. Not just the familiar
red and yellow cup shapes that
we all know from years gone by.

Usually we're guaranteed a
snow storm of some sort in
April here, even if the snow
doesn't last more then a few
days after the storm as the
temperatures return to more
seasonal values.

This year we've had an unusual amount of sunny, warm weather
which has got us several weeks
ahead of schedule for the
garden plants and the trees
leafing out. No snow on the
ground, but the occasional
flurry of snow (or tiny ice
pellets) when the temperature
wobbles and drops below the
average for this time of year.

Looks like your family in the
mid west are also enjoying
some wonderful, warm and
sunny Spring weather, just
like us.

Love the wedding sampler that
you stitched for the bride and
groom to be. Very pretty
design and color choices. Love
the twisted braid style border
and the pretty tulip like
flowers.

Your Lovebird Socks are very
pretty, both in color and in
style. The pattern that runs through the stitching is very
nice. Once you put them on is
the size difference still noticeable??

My Mom and her knitting group
make those little Preemie hats
too, as well as tiny booties
and the occasional hat and
scarf sets for older kids. Love
the pom pom on top.

I'll be keeping my fingers
crossed that you'll have good
weather for the wedding.

Cheers!!

What a happy bunch you have there! Your flowers are beautiful! We've been hoping for a little rain to green things up around here.

Hope you have/had a great get together.
