December Birthdays

Ever since I had a December baby, I've had a special spot in my heart for people born during that month. So often, their birthdays are lost in the hustle and bustle surrounding the holidays. My friend Debbie and her daughter have December birthdays that are before Christmas, so this year I made an apron (Vanilla House pattern) for Angelina and a matching hotpad for Debbie, hoping they'll know that their special days are important, too.
Happy Baking, Debbie and Angelina!

Our Catherine's birthday is a few days after Christmas, and one of her fond memories is a half-birthday celebration that Aunt Jane had for her long ago one June when Catherine ventured off to Minnesota all alone to spend a week with her cousins. What a great idea, don't you think?

A couple weeks ago, during a tough week, I got this beautiful coaster in the mail from Sheila, who'd had a giveaway on her blog. Little did she know how this gift lifted my spirits. Thanks again, Sheila. I love pewter and your blog.

What a pretty little apron. Nice job with it and the hot pads.
My oldest son was born December 10th and I and his wife always try to make sure that day is special for him.
Love your little pewter coaster. It looks like a quilt pattern.

My husband's birthday is this week, and as a child his birthday sometimes got forgotten in the chaos. I try to make it special, but he really doesn't care. But worse was his mother's birthday, Jan 1. We rarely celebrated her birthday "on the day," because we were either out of town or out ON the town the night before.

Wow!!! You are doing such amazing things lately!!! I have been so very busy and have been so bad at keeping up with my favorite blogs, such as yours. I really appreciate your very sweet comments on my blog. Obviously I haven't had much time for my own blog either. haha. Yes, long hair is a pain when you have a little one. I am so glad I cut it. It was hard because it was so long and beautiful but I never had time to do it so it wasn't beautiful. hahaha
I really love your CQ purse!!! Good for you! You are amazing at all crafts. I really love all your knitting though and it makes me really want to try it. The socks you made for my little Jeremy are so adorable and everyone I show them too thinks so too.
I am so glad we have these blogs and that I can catch up on all your exciting news when I get the chance. I used to follow over 100 blogs. Now I am down to 5 I think. LOL Hopefully I will do much better as Jeremy gets bigger.
Hope you have a very Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year and all your family as well!!!!!!!!

Lovely things you've made for your friends. You are right about the December birthdays. My dd#2 has one on the 21st. We told her it was the longest night of the year, so she could have the longest party of anyone. We've always gone overboard, so she won't feel her birthday is lost in the holidays. Wonderful coaster, just perfect!
