Dino is Done!

Flying on airplanes and riding in cars provide lots of time for knitting, and that's exactly what I did on our recent vacation. I worked on several projects, an unfinished pair of socks (still not finished), a baby sweater (coming along), and David's dinosaur sweater.
Dino
I've had this pattern since the nineties when I fell in love with it. Finally, I was able to knit it. This was the first time I've done duplicate stitch and also the first time that I've embroidered on a knit that wasn't going to be felted. Now to send Dino off to Chicago! I also spent some time consulting my sister on what to do with my Noah blocks that aren't fitting together as they should....the jury's still out on that issue.

Love the orange "things" down his back --- very cute!

Oh, I remember making that sweater for my granddaugher. I wonder if her mother still has it. She is 20 years old now so I don't think it still fits.

Great job. Wasn't it a fun one?

Hi Judy
I've just been catching up on your FABULOUS photos! What a time you have had! I'm particularly drawn to the anhinga; I've never heard of it before but it looks rather impressive.
Love the diplodocus (or is it a brontosaurus? I'm sure David will know.)
Love Linda x
(PS Dad was a bit better today which made me happy (thank you for asking Judy) but who knows what he will be like tomorrow? Thats dementia for you.)

Hi Judy,

I'm sorry for taking so long to
respond to your first comment on
my blog. Today I'm in something
of a commenting mood, so I've
been catching up with my blogging
friends.

I had to laugh when I read your
DH's description of big piles of books. Earthquake detectors!!
Priceless!! Only we don't get
earthquakes here in Ontario so
I can't use that as an excuse
to keep the shipments of books
coming.

I've been reading through and
exploring your blog a bit. It's
hard to keep going at a steady
pace because of all the lovely
photos of the area where you
live, which I have to click on
and enlarge for added pleasure.

You live in such a beautiful
part of the U.S. with the Pacific
Ocean, and the mountains so close.
My DH and I visited Vancouver/
Victoria and Alaska about 16 years
ago and fell in love with the
location. Being able to walk
along the beach or to see the
mountains every day would be
awesome!!

Your kitties Mocha and Ginger
are lovely!! I was delighted
to read about how you took
Mocha into your home last year
and well he's doing now.

I'm typing this comment right
now with the keyboard well off to
the side of the computer because
my two cats are piled together
under the lamp next to the
computer and are hogging all the
space. I know, I know, I could
just move them, but they look so
darn cute and comfy....

The Dino sweater is adorable
with his spikes running off of
the sweater and his tail running
along the one sleeve. Something
tells me that this is going to be
a big hit with a certain little
boy.

Thanks for visiting my blog and
leaving comments Judy. It's very
nice to meet you and get to visit
your blog.

Cheers!!
