Our golden chain tree is really happy this year!
Our irises have begun to bloom also, and you can see that we will soon have poppies.
I'd forgotten that there are irises so dark they look almost black!

My grandfather had a huge iris bed in the yard. He loved them. He had some of those dark ones that look black too. I used to look forward to when he would get his bulb catalog every year. He'd let me help pick out his new colors.

Our spring flowers are done for this year. Soon there will be summer flowers. For us that is day lilies, hydrangea, and cinquefoil (if it blooms this year).

I do love spring and my peonies are just about to bloom!
I too love spring. Usually I start counting down how many days til spring as soon as late fall hits. I really dislike winter. I love seeing the flowers bloom and bringing back color to the yard. My purple iris's just finished blooming. Have never seen the dark one that almost looks black, very interesting. Next up for me are my lilies and they're very colorful.
