Good News! And a Bit of Nature

Hurrah! The baby hat fits!! His dad took him for a walk, and stopped by on his way home to show us. No photo, but he's sure a cutie.

Yesterday on my walk I saw this deer in someone's yard. I think it was enjoying lunch.

This photo is way better than the one I took this afternoon.  I think it's a Golden-crowned Kinglet, but it may be a different version of the Ruby-crowned one I saw earlier.

Dick caught this Varied Thrush in our backyard this afternoon. They only visit at this time of year, and we are happy to see them.

Happy Valentine's Day a bit early!

Happy Valentine's Day to you too! And... so happy that the hat fits. Doesn't that just give you great satisfaction? It sure does me when I make something that fits someone. :-)
Great bird photos. I'm never fast enough with my camera. Not that we have any birds around right now anyway. It's -11F outside right now!
Blessings,
Betsy

Love your nature pics! With all the snow on the ground, we've had very busy feeders this year!

The varied thrush is beautiful; I've never seen one!

How wonderful that the hat fit. It's not easy fitting heads that are not right in front of you especially heads that are attached to little ones. Don't ask me how I know this....lol.

Nice pictures of the Birds. Getting a good picture of them I think is hard, you did very well!! The Deer have become far too prevalent in our neighborhood. We live in a very residential area just one block of a major 4 lane busy road, and still we've had up to 6 deer in the yard at one time. They've really destroyed some of my landscaping. We've tried to chase them away; but they're far too comfortable with people around. The city is trying to figure out what to do with them because it's become quite a problem. And dangerous on that busy road.
