My Mom and Dick's Dad were each born on August 14th, and though they are no longer with us, we remember them fondly.
In honor of them, this plant burst into bloom today!
And I even finished a project to donate along with a few other hats to KidVantage, a wonderful charity that is nearby and serves kids from birth-12 with things like diapers and school supplies!

August is a big birthday month around here for the extended family and a few friends. Like me and my brother, two of my best friends kids are just a day (and several years) apart in August.
