A Tiny Finish

After lots of rain and fog, we finally got some sunshine!  Hurrah! It didn't stick around though, so we are glad we took a walk when we did.

This little hedgehog was a bit of a challenge as he's only about an inch long!

Perhaps you've heard on the news about a landslide in our city?  That house is a little more than a mile away from us and will probably have to be demolished. There are 7 other homes nearby where the occupants aren't yet allowed. The probable cause was a broken watermain on the hill above. We sure feel bad for all of those affected!

Take care and remember to count your blessings!

Oh my! I hadn't seen the news about the house. How scary and sad for the owners. I realize it is only a house, but I'm sure there are lots of memories inside and belongings that can't be replaced.
Your tiny hedgehog is sure cute. That takes so good eyesight!
Stay safe and warm.
Blessings,
Betsy

It's incredible what mother nature can do!

Love your little hedgehog. I was watching my favourite British Gardening show and in one episode, he had a little hedgehog hibernating in his garden

Oh, no that's just awful. We've had a few landslides here recently with yards falling into the bay. No houses-yet but it's just a matter of time as that water gets closer and closer.
That hedgehog is darling. I can't imagine how fiddly that was to do but it turned out great.

I can't imagine how scary that is for the people wondering what will happen to their homes.

Your little hedgehog is adorable.

We had a few days without sunshine so I can understand the joy at seeing it again! The damage to the homes is awful-such a sad event.

Happy to hear you and your home are safe. There has been so many nature/weather-related tragedies in recent months. I can’t imagine losing a home in such a tragic way.

I have a thing for Echidnas so I love your little hedgehog!!! Oh my goodness that's terrible that houses have been lost due to poor maintenance by councils !!! I do hope the ones around you are maintained a little better

I'm currently reading At Home on an Unruly Planet and the first part deals with the Tripod fires and the mudslides that followed. Seeing this photo certainly makes me count my blessings!
