And during the last part of July, I finished a couple more knitting projects and am now waiting for some yard to arrive so I can finish another pair of booties. (I lost at yarn chicken!) This was the first time I ever knit a lovey.
It's not the first time I've made a this shawl pattern, however.
Then I finally finished this pair of socks for a friend who crochets. This is the sock that I ended up ripping out the second one when I was down to the heel. But it's finally done now and being modeled by the recipient. Best of all, it fit!!
Apparently the garden has appreciated the extra attention because it's blessed us with some beautiful flower this summer.

A Stargazer Lily which now has 8 of the 9 buds open!
And this one is the strangest of all. All these roses are from the same bush!
For the first time I can remember, all but one of my violets are blooming at once.
This one is the prettiest with its ruffled petals.

Those flowers are all gorgeous, especially that last violet. I've never seen one like that. How did you attach the head to the lovey? Do you buy them specially for that and if so, where? Also, that shawl is beautiful. Could you share the pattern? Just listen to all of my questions today!
One more hot day on this side of the state and then it's supposed to cool down a bit. It's been really hot for well over a week.

Nice garden shots! I have one tine rose busy that has now turned itself into 3 little ones. It was in a basket after my mom passed. So I feel like it is very special. It just makes little red roses. Not many, but it stays pretty!
Hope your family is all safe and well. So far, we are doing fine. !!!!! Troy and I have barely seen anyone since march.
We were just talking about violets. My mom could really keep them blooming. Me, not so much.
