One morning we did a bit of hiking to Ladder Creek Falls
When we were exploring the town, we saw this mama deer and her two yearlings snacking on the side of one of the roads.
Our most interesting discovery was the museum. Its grounds are open all the time, so even though the building was closed, we learned a lot about the history of Winthrop and the surrounding area.
Time in the car plus the August birthdays of two grand children inspired these two finishes. The youngest grand daughter loves unicorns which resulted in this project.
I also finished my August Camp Loopy project using one of my "go-to" patterns. Remind me to never knit with lace yarn again as it took forever. It looks the same on both sides which is great for scarves.
And best of all two long-time UFOs are now FINISHED. Hurrah!
This pattern is one of my favorites.
I varied the pattern of the foot for this pair

So, there you have it, that's what's kept me busy recently. Hope all of you have a most enjoyable three day week end and a very Happy Labor Day tomorrow!

Hi Judy! It sounds like you've had a busy August. I love the two stuffed animals and all of your socks. Happy belated anniversary! We were going to go to Winthrop last month but we ended up getting the trailer and used that time to get everything taken care of for that. We've never been to Winthrop before and still would like to go sometime. Do you have a hotel you could recommend to us?
Take care and enjoy the cooler weather that's on it's way.
Blessings,
Betsy
Your trip sounds wonderful Judy. Glad you got to finish so many wonderful projects. Happy September.
Beautiful place to visit for your Anniversary!
And you have been enjoying your knitting--the little kitty is so sweet--love the socks! The unicorn will make grandD very happy, too!
happy anniversary!! I haven't knit a stuffed animal in decades! Yours look magnificent :)
Your stuffies are adorable! And those socks.....how pretty. Congrats on the finish. I know how good that must feel. Araignee
Beautiful finished projects! I have some laceweight that is languishing in my stash. Perhaps, I will knit it with double strands. Happy Belated Anniversary
