Our youngest granddaughter talked her mom into buying this kit, thinking she could make it and then wear it. (She's 5.) Not. She finally gave it to me to take home, and I, no lover of crochet, made it for her. It's too big for her baby doll and way too small for GD. Sophia sewed on the black buttons though which made it special. (I have no idea as to this hat's destiny however!)
I saw this free pattern in a knit shop, loved the stitch, and just had to try it. This is a keeper! (I used 1 skein of Rios and even had some left.)
It took a while, but I finally finished this pair of socks. The pattern is Gladys and is also free.
In response to the Squirrel Hill tragedy, I completed these two squares for the Yarns by Design knit shop. This shop is in the town next to Verona where DH grew up, and we've shopped there several times although not recently.
Yep, it's that time of year. Here are my two contributions to the local Ronald McDonald House stocking project that our quilt group supports.
This stocking is different on the other side.
On this one both sides are the same.

You have been busy. What a cute little frog hat. I hope it finds a home and is used somewhere after all the work that went into it by both you and your granddaughter. The socks are beautiful. I had completely forgotten about your Ronald McDonald House charity. The stockings will be much appreciated, I’m sure. We have no family here for Thanksgiving or Christmas this year, although we are having dinner with friends for Thanksgiving, Christmas will be alone. It’s OK. those kits are pretty advanced if you ask me! Lovely crafting and knitting you are doing - I am on schedule for all that I want to get done for the holidays. I still have more knitting to do though :)

It looks like you've been busy with a lot of things as you traveled and sang. Any chance for a new CD for the choir this year?
So much great work! You are full of love to crochet a frog hat with an undecided direction LOL. It does look fabulous though and I'm sure it will be appreciated no matter what. I really like the gladys socks. I hope to do them one day when I return to an attention span that can keep track of an actual pattern.
That frog beanie is to cute and love the cowl (i think that's what is called) i might just make one for my daughter for next winter. It doesn't get cold d enough in cairns. You are very generous with all your other creations to.
