Happy Boxing Day!

Out front

Without a doubt, this was one of the most unusual Christmases ever.  First, I did something to my back that caused me to bail out of our choir singing, and then it snowed on Christmas Eve and into Christmas Day. (On the radio today they said it was the first time ever that it has snowed here for two days in a row!) Today, however, I am once again upright and felt well enough to do my usual Tuesday afternoon at the hospital teaching knitting.  I worked with four moms-to-be who are spending the holidays in the hospital, so who am I to complain? As promised I have some finishes to share:

Booties for a friend's new grand daughter,

several scarves,

a hat,

And a Monster named Louie. (If you've never tried one of Rebecca Danger's monsters, you should, as they are FUN!  Now, I need to get back to the needles.  There are four birthdays coming right up before the end of January, one on the day after tomorrow and two before January 11th. Yikes!

Ouch! So sorry about your back, Judy! We've had a little of that going on around here, too. Oh, the pleasures of aging. LOL! I hope you are well on the road to recovery and going strong!

LOVE all your knits. That little monster is too cute! Your needles are going to have to fly with that many birthdays in January! Happy Knitting and Happy New Year! blessings ~ tanna

WOw you must have been sick to bail on CHOIR> SO sorry lady! I gained 1/2 lb over the cookie fest. Not bad, but I wish I hadn't gained anything. Lets say its water ok? I love your monster! I love your snow. My kids are back in their lives.....it is quiet here. WE are off to the barn to help with below zero chores. Its good for us.

The snow is lovely. Will it stick around long? I'm glad your back is better - take care.

I heard you got snow over on the other side of the mountains. I'm sure lots of people were excited to have a white Christmas. I, on the other hand, am tired of it already. We've had to shovel every day for almost two weeks with 8 more inches predicted tomorrow.
Your projects are beautiful and I'm sure very appreciated by the recipients. The monster is a cutie!
I hope your back is better today.
Blessings,
Betsy

The snowy pictures are lovely! I hope you get your knitting done and get a little downtime in there somewhere, sheesh! Those scarves must've taken a while to do!

The yarn I used on the dishcloths was Hobby Lobby’s “I Love This Cotton”. The colorway was something like “Pink, Teal, PurpleI meant . I know it had Pink & Teal in the name.
We’re actually not flying until Jan. 6. After your comment I realized it sounded like I meant this Saturday. Ellen is staying at our house with Chloe so we won’t feel bad leaving her. Ellen spoils her rotten.:-)
Blessings,
Betsy

The snow is so beautiful Judy, it looks so festive. I love how snow makes the world feel quieter, like everything is muffled a bit. Love all of your projects, well done.
