Off the Needles, Pair Two and a Hat!

The second pair of booties is done and both are winging their way to the East Coast along with a book for each of the siblings. Hopefully these will fit a bit longer than the small sneaker ones!

Here are the boys! (our newest grand nephews)

The other thing I finished this week was this hat. It's a DMC Top This! kit, and the one Sophia chose for me to make for her.  There are oh so many adorable toppers, and I found the first kit (a bunny, not made yet) at Rainy Day Yarns in Gig Harbor.  The kitty came from Webs.

Our garden contained a very nice surprise this week: the trillium (wake robin) is in full bloom!

Yes, spring is definitely here.  We still have cool nights, but just looking down our street, you can see lots of the signs. Hurrah for spring!

Check out Patchwork Times to see what others are knitting when they aren't out working in their garden.

What sweet babies and finished knitting projects! I haven't seen the topper kits, but the hat is adorable.

No Spring here yet, but it's getting closer.

Oh those babies are adorable. I have new patients, preemie twin girls that have been discharged from the hospital recently. I am getting to know them and they are darling. So tine still and they have been alive 10 weeks!

Is that bright color an azalea? We have those all over here and all blooming like crazy. Our trees are pretty well finished, though. The hat is cute and the booties SO tiny! Are the boys identical or fraternal? They look a lot a like, but it's hard to tell with the one chewing his fist. =)

Cute booties, but the boys are even cuter. What a blessing for you and their mom and dad. That hat is adorable too. I've never seen anything like that in a kit. What fun things you have been working on. Happy Spring.

trillium reminds me of my mother in law who had a field of them in her back yard at her old house. cute twins and cute booties for four little wee feet :)

That hat is amazing! The topper part looks hard, like it required sewing. I'm sure the recipient is thrilled with it!
