Spring Ahead!
Outside, the signs of spring are peeking out everywhere!
Inside, I've been finishing up a few projects like this dishcloth.
In trying to keep up with my one-a-month plan, I started another one.
I also finished my contribution to Leslie Ehrlich's Sandy Hook Memorial project. Of the two choices, I picked the memory heart. It was supposed to be a CQ heart featuring old fashioned children's toys, but I did cross stitch and put the CQ on the background. To me teddy bears symbolize comfort. Hope it's OK!!! (The bear was from a corner of a much larger design called "Baby Blessing," a pattern by Michelle Lash.)
This fun project is from the current Vogue knitting magazine. It's a collar and needs a length of ribbon threaded through the beading to be complete. It's kind of like an itty bitty shawl and reminiscent of collars that were popular in the late fifties. There are seven different patterns in the article, and I plan to knit this one again and try another one that requires beaded yarn as well. Very fun!
Have a great week, and don't forget to change your clocks as it's time to Spring Ahead! Already? How can that be?

Looks like Spring has definitely arrived in your area. I love primroses.
I found the pattern for the picot edged dishcloth. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
I know, isn't it lovely out Judy? I hope you are enjoying the sunshine today...I hear it's going to rain again Monday. Looks like you've been busy! I finished a baby afghan and my friend really liked it. I posted it on FB, but I'll put it on my blog soon. Off to have fun in the sun!
I like your dish cloth. I have made that pattern, but mine didn't have the pretty lacy edge. The collar is beautiful! I'm from Bellevue. My blog picture is from a BHS reunion. Thanks for sharing!
I think your Sandy Hook Heart is beautiful!
I love the Sandy Hook Heart, it really is lovely and yes with the bear comforting.
I love the dishcloth. So pretty!
I love your dishcloth with the picot edging! I'm going over to find that as soon as I'm done leaving this comment :*) And your collar - OMG!!! That's gorgeous!
Wonderful creations as always. Love flowers amongst the moss
Glad to see that spring is happening for you also...... I must see if Primroses will grow here... I had them on the Cape....
Lovely stitching you have done... One for the home - one for you - and one to share..... Your needle has been busy.
The little cross stitched bear is perfect!
Your collar reminds me of the crochetted collars popular in the '80s. I wore a lot of them when teaching.
I think the little bear is just perfect.
That shawl color is lovely. Gorgeous color.
The flowers coordinate with the dish cloth... Loving that spring is on the way here, too. The heart piece is adorable. I agree, Teddies and bunnies are comfort toys! Lovely finish!
Actually I think the collars and cuffs were early 50s, because by the time I graduated high school in 1958, that style was totally over.
And I remember having a dress in the early 50s as a very young teen that NEEDED a crochet collar and didn't have one.
Love all of your projects. So much fun.
Your Sandy hook contribution is so wonderful and so comforting.
Your dishrag is adorable too.
The collar...are you making a fashion statement. IT is gorgeous. I love the colors!!!!
Signs of spring??? Oh how wonderful. The flowers are so pretty!
Love the picot edge on the dishcloth. Nancy S found the pattern and shared the find with me, so I hope to make one soon.
The cross stitch bear is very sweet. Love it. And I admire the lacy work in the collar; it should be fun to wear.
You are ahead of us with spring. We had warm weather the past two days but a bit of a snowstorm today. Love your knitting projects and your stitched heart is very sweet. I'm not a knitter but really enjoy seeing what others are doing.
I love that collar. Very cute!
Oh, what beautiful spring photos, Judy!! =D Just makes a person happy to see such beauty. Just like your projects! blessings ~ tanna
Aren't you lucky to have some signs of spring in your yard? We saw some snowdrops on a walk blooming but that's it here. Love the idea of a washcloth once a week, after I finish a ton of other projects!!
Great projects - love the shawl. My socks are best, though. LOL I posted about them. Spring here has been completely a yo-yo affair, but the wisteria is about to bloom in the front yard, so maybe the weather is through fooling my bulbs!
What a lot of projects Judy....your fingers must always be busy! And everything is so neat...
