Yet Another Pair of Booties

A couple of Sundays ago I learned that one of my daughter's friends had a baby boy in July, so I went to my stash of unfinished booties and found a pair for Noah. All it took was sewing up the seams; now why didn't I do that earlier?

They were sent off today along with a copy of Good Night Gorilla, one of our favorite books to read with David. This pattern is one of my favorites for booties, and I love this yarn. Unfortunately this colorway has been discontinued, but I don't know why.

Tomorrow a few friends and I are off to the APNQ Quilt Show that's held here in Seattle every other year. This year for the first time it's at the Convention Center.....lots of beautiful work, I'm sure, and lots more vendors, or so I've heard. It should be a fun day.

Isn't it nice when you have a gift almost ready when you need it.
Thanks for visiting my blog. You are showing as "no reply". Next time I'd like to spend more time driving the Oregon coast and getting to Canon Beach as well. It's a beautiful drive.
Have fun at the Seattle show.

So cute!!! I was just scrolling through all your neat stuff and somehow I missed the bonnets. I especially like the Plum one. You do such fabulous work.

Testing out the problem.

The booties are adorable. That's one of my favorite books, too. David might enjoy Sheep in a Jeep, and the other Sheep books, too.

Doesn't seem to be any problem.

Thanks for the comment on my blog! I couldn't reply so I'll just answer your question here. I only had 1 charm pack - so I made the 4patches. I cut the sashing 2 x 9 inches and the cornerstones are 2" blocks. I think I used 1/3 yd for the sashing and 1/4 yd for the squares and of course a charm packet.
I like your blog - those booties are adorable and the little bunny ones are so cute. Also your travel pictures are beautiful.

Your booties, dear Judy, looks great.
You knitted a very beautiful sample.
I would like to wish you a experience-rich day on the exhibition in Seattle…
perhaps may you a few photos for us bring along, and us forward in such a way on this fair carry.

Hello again! Hope youre weather's a little warmer - ours still isn't!! The booties are so cute!! And I've lost count of how many projects I have in the cupboard that just need that last little bit of 'boring' finishing off done!! Enjoy the quilt show - it's always much more fun with friends! Usually my best friend and I hit the craft shows together and make both of our husbands worried! Tee! Hee! Hee! Bear Hugs! KRIS (Tag Along Teddies)

Judy, cute booties. I agree with Wendy, it's so nice when you don't have to rush to get something completed.
