Fun in the Midwest

Four Generations!
While we were in Chicago, we took the opportunity to go visit my uncle and aunt in Wisconsin. Uncle Howie, my dad's younger brother, turned 90 this spring, and I think he looks just great. It was fun to take a four generation picture.
Oma and Sophia
Here I am holding Sophia who was 9 months yesterday!
Jill's Red-bellied Woodpecker
Dick took this photo from Jill's doorway; we aren't sure whether this is THE bird that's been attacking their house, but it sure loves this tree!

Hi Judy...so you are an Oma.I can tell you come from good Midwest stock! We called our grandma Oma too.
I am going to visit my daughter in San Francisco. She lives in Sacramento. Hope you saw my response to your queries about Chicago shopping places. Maybe sometime when you get back out this way we can go together...

Wow!!! How cool is that? Four generations!!! Once we were able to do that with my sister and her baby, my mom and my grandma. The coolest part was that my grandma's name was Kay (short for Catherine), my mom is Cathy (also short for Catherine), my sister's name is Catherine, and my niece's name is Katelynn (a derivative of Catherine). My grandma was 42 when she had my mom and my sister was my mom's 3rd child so the fact that my grandma lived long enough to see my mom's 1st grandchild is amazing. Those are always fun memories to make.
Also, I looked back on your moth. Wow, What a beautiful moth. Creatures like these are so exciting to find.
Thanks so much,
Wendy

Hi Judy
I find your pictures cool. They show me a very lucky family. Your uncle looks marvelous, and you affect me how a very proud and loving granny your small Sophia... so nicely!
A privilege four or five generations in the family is to be had.
I wish the very best for your family.
