I just finished these mittens today, and they are made with leftovers from the Alpine Bloom hat. Surprisingly, there's still enough yarn left on the 2 skeins to make some small hats!
Just a few more photos from the bomb cyclone damage; some places sustained even more damage than this one, and some houses were totally destroyed.
We saw these two fallen trees yesterday in Sammamish when we went to Pilates. Fortunately no houses were hit, but we heard from friends that some of their neighbors in the area weren't so lucky. Once again we were reminded that we could have had more than just branches and pine cones to deal with. Our Pilates teacher was without power for 6 days!
Now back to work on one last Christmas project! Have a great weekend.

Your mittens are so cute and so sorry for all the damage that happened in your area!
We got through the cyclone relatively unscathed, only lost power over night, but many people were out for a couple of days.
Very pretty mittens!!!! The damage is hard to see!
Do you live in our area?
Love the mittens!
Oh, my gosh! What a mess. I was just very sad that the wind tool out my sweet little Mini Cooper a few years ago. She was red with white stripes and she would have made a perfect little float in our town Christmas parade.
The mittens are adorable. It's been mitten weather around here for a few weeks but today I have the windows open. Go figure.
Those are very pretty mittens. Isn't it amazing how some skeins of yarn just keep going and going? I'm sorry about all of the damage. A few of our friends in the area were hit pretty bad but I'm grateful that you had minimal cleanup.
Blessings and hugs,
Betsy
