We also managed a couple quick trips. We spent a weekend in Whistler, British Columbia, and did lots of walking.
A bit later in the month we headed south to Newport, Oregon. The coast is so different there with lots and lots on sand dunes to explore.
Little Creek Cove is one of our favorite spots to stay.
These dogs didn't think twice about crossing this little creek to get to the dunes and ocean. We, however, drove to Agate Beach and then walked north.
Time in the car makes for lots of knitting and two more Interrupted Cowls. A shawl
for Stella also popped off the needles.
This pair of socks was my June Camp Loopy project.
Our daughter hosted a lovely brunch at a very nice restaurant to celebrate my birthday, our son's birthday and Father's Day and then one day at lunch this guy showed up in our backyard. Apparently he though he'd been summoned to prune the roses?
Hope you're all having a wonderful Fourth of July celebration!

I think that deer's cousin has been eating all the plants in my yard. He looks just like him.
All your projects are jaw dropping. Those socks, that shawl....wow. Just wow.
The month of June might've gone by in a flurry but you filled it with beautiful knits and wonderful travels! Belated birthday wishes!
Sounds like your June was a whirlwind! You got a lot of nice projects complete!
Love all your finished projects!
you might be busy but you sure do get lots of knitting done while being busy! love the shawl :)
That is such a beautiful song. Thank you for sharing with us. You have had a busy month of travels but I guess car time = knitting time doesn't it? We've always stayed at D'Sands in Lincoln City when at the coast but have been looking for somewhere else that is maybe a bit less expensive for our next trip.
I hope you're having a lovely 4th of July weekend. We sure are enjoying our lake time.
Blessings,
Betsy
Your trips look so nice. There is just so much beauty out your way!
You can't go wrong with an interrupted cowl, can you?
I love your socks. Such a fun stitch pattern!
Your travels look wonderful. We get deer in our backyard but they are small Florida deer, not big like yours.
looks like you had a wonderful trip and summer so far.
the socks are from the same ball of yarn I'm knitting from both ends and really thought by now the color would have changed so they look like a pair but no.
It's no wonder June passed in a blur! Look at everything you did. Your hiking sounds wonderful, as well as the dunes. Camp Loopy! I bought fabric last summer to make a Camp Loopy project, and it's still sitting there. LOL
