Happy Autumn!

Leaves here are falling faster every day, but most of our trees have a long ways to go before they are totally bare.  Here's a leaf we found on our walk the other day.  It's pretty clear why this tree is called a Big Leaf Maple, isn't it?  (Thanks for the photo idea, Becca.)

When frost comes, this black-eyed Susan vine will be done, but we sure are enjoying its colorful flowers now.

This clematis blooms in the fall, but it would do better if we had more sunshine.

The Beauty Berry shows its tiny purple berries only in the fall.

Halloween will soon be here as well as the end of Daylight Savings. The days are getting shorter and sunrise is later, but we can still enjoy the garden.  Have a nice weekend!

Your garden plants are gorgeous Judy!! It's hard to say goodbye to them at the end of summer. Of course winter has its own jewels to brighten our world. That is one huge leaf. I would like to see a photo of the whole tree!

BTW, I am knitting my 7th dishcloth. Will. It. Never. End.

That is an amazingly large leaf! And such a gorgeous pattern on it.
I envy all the colors you have this late in the season.

Now, that's what I call a big leaf! I can't imagine raking something that large.

My trees are bare, but the leaves are still haven't been picked up.

Wow! When we lived in Nebraska we lived in a subdivision called Maple Village. I thought I had seen some big maple leaves, but I've never seen one like that. Most of our leaves are now gone. I think fall is truly here to stay. I'm just hoping it keeps raining and doesn't turn to snow anytime soon.
Blessings,
Betsy

You always have such beautiful flowers. At times I envy you, but then I look at my sheep and know I'm where I'm supposed to be.

Can you safely eat those tiny Beauty Berries? That maple leaf is amazing - I've not seen one that large! I always enjoy seeing what's going on in your foliage.
