Finished at Last!

We've been home from our trip to Arizona since Wednesday night and are just about caught up with mail, laundry and such.  And I am finally finished with the Scoreboard Scarf! It became so long that I decided to finish off the ends rather than kitchener them together. I couldn't quite imagine such a long cowl! (Stretched out, it's taller than I am!)

Each row except for the gray edges represents one point, the navy being our home team (The Seahawks) and the green, their opponents. The single gray line separates the season's games, all sixteen of them but not the playoffs.

While catching up on my blog friends, I found this chart which made me smile. I just had to share it, too. Now someone needs to do one for knitting!

And if you've ever wondered about the value of knitting, you will enjoy this article.  I think the benefits described could be applied to any handcraft.  OK, gotta run but will post again later about our trip.  Carpe diem!

Your scarf is very pretty. It makes me wish I cared about a sports team. I kind of care about the Green Bay Packers, but who would want a green and gold scarf? Not me.

Looks like the 'Hawks had a winning season! There is a lot of blue in that scarf.

Love the scarf, that is a great idea. I would have to make a Packer scarf and i don't look great in that color green.
Hugs to you,
Meredith

So what tall drink o' water gets to wear that scarf? =) It's quite attractive anyway. Love the table of sewing elements!

I hate to admit anything Seahawks looks good ;) but it does! Excellent work on your team scarf and I love how it represents a specific season! So cool!

glad you are home and had a safe trip! Your scarf is wonderful and I love the random striping although the randomness isn't truly random is it??

I really love the scoreboard scarf. I am hoping I get my act together and make one for my sister in law. What a terrific sewing chart too. :-)

I really like your scarf and the idea with your favorite team is great. Our team left town and now we don't have one. Had I known about this fun scarf when our original team was here, I would have done it in a minute.
