Strangely my last several projects have involved the feather and fan stitch pattern. I just finished this Nami cowl; the pattern came with a Bento Box kit from Jimmy Beans yarn. It included 15 yards of 12 different Berroco yarns, and I liked the sample of Briza so much that I ordered enough for a sweater. Hope to finish it in time for winter. (This one!) It intrigued me how the two ends fit perfectly together, and I've got my fingers crossed that it will go well with DD's winter coat. This pattern would be perfect for using up odds and ends of yarn, so I need to remember that!
My little gnome approves.
And this tiny fairy left me a note saying, "Get going on those winter projects!" I guess it IS time, isn't it? Check out Patchwork Times to see what others are making.

Holy moly .....that's some giant fungus!!! LOL
It looks so adorable with the little fairy and gnome.
So true....fall is falling at last.
Whoa.....those are some crazy mushrooms. Spiders are everywhere here also. I can't leave the house without a broom to knock down the webs before I end up like poor Frodo.
Your two FO's are lovely. The colors in the cowl are gorgeous.
You are so amazingly talented.
whenever I see feather and fan stitch I think of my mom! I love that pattern and use it exclusively for baby blankets and of course adult blankets! Lovely sweater with two kinds of purple!! Lovely!
Yes, the weather is making a change here, too. It has been snowing in the mountains and will gradually work itself into the valley.
Love your finished projects! Did you use a provisional cast on for the cowl?
Boy those are big mushrooms! LOVE the girly dress!
What an adorable little dress. Love the color of the cowl.
That mushroom is huge! I love the sweater and I have been thinking of making a feather and tan scarf, after seeing your cowl I might have to make that instead.
Hugs,
Meredith
The dress - adorable!! The cowl - a great pattern for this project! Lovely. And the giant toadstools - wow - they are quite BIG!
Happy First Day of Fall Judy!!
Your knitting projects are lovely, especially that sweet, frilly, girly dress. With kitty buttons no less!!! I want one!!!! Lol!!
The cowl in variegated shades of pink to mauve is stunning. Its amazing how the pattern shows up so well and enhances the cowls appearance. Looks lovely and cozy warm too.
Holy Crap that's a huge toadstool!! And you mentioned spiders as harbingers of the change of seasons? Ugh!! I hate them!! (shudders!!)
The outing with your grandchildren in the previous post looks like it was a lot of fun for all. They're so cute!! Check out the sun glasses!
You celebrated your 50th wedding anniversary??? Wow!! My husband and I celebrated our 25th in
May. Belated congratulations and best wishes for many more to you both.
Cheers!
love the little sweater dress. too cute. I love that ombre going on in the cowl, I can smell fall, but it's not here yet. I will live vicariously through the rest of you...
Your projects are such wonderful inspiration! I'm working on a couple of cowls too, but they are moving slowly because of other stuff in my life right now. I've also got a pair of socks that need to be on my feet this winter!!! And by the way, that mushroom looks cold, you may want to knit it a cozy sweater LOL!!!
