Time Flies When You're Having Fun!

How'd it get to be Friday again so fast?  After singing twice last Sunday (to a pretty empty church the 2nd time), we hurried off to our friend's house to watch THE game with her.  It took most of the week to recover! The town is lit up with blue and green lights at night, and lots of "12's". In the midst of the excitement, I tried to knit.  Knitting keeps you calm, right? I'm working on a cute little jumper for Stella, and it's coming right along.  The smocking has
been fun to do. One more smocking sequence and it will be time to bind off and make the straps. The yarn is Cascade Quatro and is nice to work with.

On Monday we had book club. Have you ever read  The Count of Monte Cristo?  It is LONG but exciting, but I still have lots more to read. Only half of the group had finished, and we met earlier in the month than usual.  (I'm on chapter 73 and only 64% done; can you believe it? The chapters aren't short either!)  Maybe we should just watch the movie?  Anyhow along with the usual weekly stuff like volunteering and choir, I did finish another washcloth.

I'm also part way through Clue 2 on the Mystery Sock.  It took me 2 tries to find the right yarn though.  Meanwhile, GO Hawks! And check in at Patchwork Times to see what others are knitting.

Good luck to your Seahawks. Are they talking much about the deflated footballs?

Stella's jumper is going to be adorable.

Such a pretty color that pink is. I think that's the most beautiful wash cloth I've seen!

Your little jumper looks so cute. I've never seen a knitted jumper before. Love the color of your wash cloth too. Of course, those are my colors. :)

The smocking on that jumper is SO cute.
I don't think I can read books that long anymore. My mind has been corrupted by the Internet!

Love the jumper and the smocking adds that special touch. Have not read the Count of Monte Cristo but do read every night. I have signed up for the toe-up sock with Seven Clues with KAL. I'm just a plain knitter so hope I can finish a sock. My other sock sits on the needles at the heel flap.

The smocking is adorable. I may need the pattern. I chose the boy vest that I just knit because your toddler vest inspired me last summer

We are mourning the loss of Mr Cub today. I cried at the news of his death last night

I hope chicago gives him our biggest send off ever. Sports. They do touch us don't they

Being from the Washington, DC area, I've all but forgotten what it feels like to be in the finals of anything. :(
Good luck with that Superbowl thing. It's going to be fun.
The pink jumper is so sweet. No granddaughters here to knit for. Grandson #2 is on the way. No complaints except for when I see darling things like that smocking.

I read it as a young woman, and the movie would just not do! =) I like to re-read the classics now and then. Man in the Iron Mask is another one on my list to re-do. The little jumper is adorable.

Yes, the pink jumper is adorable; the smocking is such a cute look. I really like the pretty dishcloth too.

I've never been a fan of those epic sized novels, but I commend you for sticking with it and enjoying the read!

Oh, and ... go Seahawks!
